Ode to My Sewing Machine

Oh, my fine and faithful friend,

After nine years, it must end.

I’ve kept you busy with many projects,

And never once did you object.

Actually, there was a time a couple months ago,

When an O-Ring you did blow.

And there were some times when with incorrect tension,

You’d do your best to thwart my mission.

But, all in all, you’ve been the best,

I would not accept any less!

And so, my faithful Singer,

I’m glad you did not linger.

I’ve had to replace you with another.

Never fear--it’s not a Brother!!!
