Thrilled!

So you guys know me, and pictures are my thing, so I'm THRILLED to have new pictures! The Bachmans were in Taiwan to get their son, Jake, and she sent me a couple. And there's some really sweet girls that help out at the House of Hope and she sent me more! So I am SO happy!
(The other baby in a couple of the pictures is Leia, David & Kalina Raboin's daughter.)

Thankful!

So I got a little update tonight on Mia! So happy! And SO thankful she is so loved and well taken care of! We are so blessed! Mia has been staying at Holly's house. Holly is one of the two missionaries that started His Hands. She shows what a big heart she has for these babies by opening her home to them and caring for them! She says Mia is very sweet and tiny! (I knew she was the first time I saw her!) Holly says Mia has thrush right now, but is not having any eating problems because of it. So we will pray she gets over it soon! She's so tiny, we don't want it to effect her eating! Holly says she's wearing preemie clothes, but that she is long. I'm just so happy to hear any tidbit about her! I think I'm still in shock and can't quite grasp that we have another daughter! Hearing more about her makes it all seem a little more real!

We went shopping today for things for Mia and for the nursery at the House of Hope. I'm planning on sending a big box on Monday. It was SO much fun buying tiny preemie clothes again!

I'm just so thankful to God for all of His blessings! Words can't express it!

Hallelujah!! Praise the LORD!!!!

The last few months have been very hard for me. I have a hard time waiting patiently. When it looked like it would be a while before His Hands would have a baby for us, I started checking into other ways to adopt from Taiwan. I've been e-mailing The Home of God's Love every couple of days begging them to give us a baby! Yesterday, they finally e-mailed me back and said "No, we will not give you a baby!". Well, they said it a lot nicer than that, but that was the gist of it. So, needless to say, I was pretty bummed all day yesterday. Last night I told Jason that I felt like we were supposed to wait for His Hands. I had read back over some things that had happened when we first started the adoption process and I remembered all the things that pointed us to His Hands. How we could afford to adopt from there. How we were the last application approved before they stopped taking apps. There were several things that made us feel like God wanted us to adopt from there. I've just been trying to hurry things up on my own! So last night, I finally accepted the fact that we were supposed to wait for our baby to come from His Hands. I fell asleep trying to resign myself to the fact that it would likely be several more months before we received our referral.

Then, this morning I checked my e-mail! There was something in my inbox that said Adoption Referral. I was thinking to myself, "HOW do I always get all these junk e-mails? That's just MEAN to get my hopes up like that!" And then I looked at it! It WAS our referral...our daughter! She was born on March 1, 2010. She is 19 days old now. She weighed 5 lbs 4 oz when she was born. She weighs 5 lbs 11 oz now. She's tiny and beautiful and WE LOVE HER!!!

A Careful Woman

A careful woman I ought to be:
A little girl follows me;
I do not dare to go a stray
For fear she’ll go the self-same way.
I cannot once escape her eyes;
What’re she sees me do,
she tries
Like me, she says,
she ’s going to be,
The little girl who follows me.
She thinks that I am good and fine,
Believes in every word of mine;
The bad in me she must not see,
The little girl who follows me.
I must remember as I go,
Through summer’s sun and winter’s snow,
I am building for the years to be,
For a little girl follows me.
